For the past 25 years, Evan has been investing in and operating disruptive new businesses in telecom and media. Currently, he leads Simple's efforts to invest in rural fiber-to-the-home networks, especially in rural geographies of the United States.  Previously, he managed Simple's investment in Sano Health and its investment advisory activities related to Brazilian fiber providers.  At DIRECTV, he ran the Broadband group, both in the United States and Latin America. Chief among his accomplishments were establishing and operating the Sky Banda Larga and DIRECTV Net residential Internet services across South America. Previously, at Time Warner Cable and America Online he played instrumental roles in launching several new businesses including Time Warner's Digital Phone service and AOL's initial presence on mobile phones. He started his career as a communications attorney in Washington, DC. He holds a JD from the University of Chicago and a BA from Harvard.

Throughout his career in media and law in Latin America, Jason developed a understanding of the intricacies of the sector that give him a unique ability to unlock value. At DIRECTV, he developed a portfolio of investments in television channels and ran the day-to-day operation at Golf Channel Latin America. Also at DIRECTV Latin America, he managed key sports rights acquisitions and ran the viewer ratings and advertising sales businesses. Previously, he was an attorney at Cleary Gottlieb with a transactional practice focused on Latin America. He holds a JD from Harvard and a BA from Cornell.

Natee Sumethasorn

Natee has been at the forefront of wireless networking over the past 25 years.  In particular, he has developed a unique level of technology and operational know-how with respect to fixed wireless, having designed and implemented AT&T/DIRECTV’s wireless broadband networks in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Peru, where he ran the regional engineering group and deployed the first commercial TD-LTE network in the western hemisphere.  Earlier in his career at Ericsson and Nortel, Natee contributed to R&D and product marketing efforts and designed traditional cellular networks for carriers in North and South America.  Throughout his career, Natee has been instrumental in lowering equipment and deployment costs without compromising quality.  He holds an MBA from SMU in Dallas and an MS in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Irvine.
